there’s gotta be more to life

What is the meaning of life? What are we on earth for?

We are born, we grow up, we work, we marry, have kids, retire, die. Human life cycle. We live and learn, and what happens to us? We become dust once again. Am I a mere puppet and the world a stage? We have no control over life or death. But we have control over the way we live. What then, do we want out of life?

The things we see are so unimportant. We can’t bring anything physical away with us when we die. Everything physical is temporary. Our bodies are temporary. Our hearts and minds are mere organs, which rot when we die. We are nothing but carbon atoms.

Isn’t it really sad, if that is all that life is about? Living and then dying. Does our existence mean so little? Why toil for the sake of accumulating physical pleasure when it all fades away? Why do we toil then? What are we toiling for?

Do we toil to survive? Or to enjoy our survival? Both are equally sad, really. Are we toiling for others to have a better world? And then what for ourselves? What do we gain from this life?

I need direction. I need a God in my life.

Looking at this picture reminds me of what God spoke to me about the other day. Love yourself for exactly who you are <3 cos’ we are perfection in His eyes.
